Health Coaching UK is now able to offer Clinical Hypnotherapy as a tool for achieving your health goals even faster. For example, one session of hypnotherapy is normally all it takes become a "non-smoker". Clinical Hypnotherapy works best when done in person and so we are only able to see clients in Devon and Somerset and South West England, or at our Harley Street Consulting Rooms in London. Contrary to popular belief Clinical Hypnotherapy is not a "new age" treatment, it is scientifically proven to work, and was accepted by the British Medical Association as long ago as 1955, and by the American Medical Association in 1958).
What Is Hypnosis? Hypnosis is a method of changing your
thoughts, behaviours, and even your body’s biochemistry using the power of your
imagination! Hypnosis works by guiding you into a
deep state of relaxation, which some hypnotherapists prefer to call a
"trance". During this stage, the hypnotherapist begins providing the
unconscious mind with positive suggestions and metaphors (stories) to help
achieve the goals of the individual. Hypnosis is one of the quickest and
most exciting ways to make positive, lasting change to your health. And
contrary to popular myth, hypnosis is completely safe... and you can experience
huge leaps forward with just one session! How Does Hypnosis Work? Hypnosis works by guiding the mind
into a state of deep relaxation. In this "trance" state, the critical
filtering capabilities of the conscious mind are bypassed, allowing the
hypnotherapist to provide suggestions direct to the subconscious mind... the
"control panel" of the brain. Hypnosis also works by the
hypnotherapist talking in the "language" of the unconscious mind,
ensuring the conscious mind doesn't interfere at all. This is achieved through
a combination of guided visualization exercises and through the use of Neuro
Linguistic Programming (NLP). Will Hypnosis Work For Me?
What Does Hypnosis "Feel"
Like? Hypnosis feels fantastic! Firstly, don’t expect to feel like
you are in a trance, it’s just like having your eyes closed but then during
your session, you'll feel immensely relaxed. And when finished, you'll be
brought back to the waking world feeling fully alive and energetic, truly ready
for what the world has to offer you... or, if you wish, you can finish your
session by simply dropping off to sleep. For some people, the hypnosis session
may feel as though it lasted just a few minutes. For other, it seems as though
they've been in that relaxed state for hours. That's perfectly normal...
hypnosis can be so relaxing, you tend to lose track of time! What Can Hypnosis Be Used For? Hypnosis can be used for almost
anything... changing your thoughts, behaviors, even your body! You can use hypnosis to boost your
confidence, increase your memory, cure your stage fright, lose weight, bulk up
your muscle mass, develop your psychic powers, improve your sport, grow taller,
stop smoking... and a whole lot more! Your mind creates your own reality.
It can do anything. Hypnosis is your key to taking control. The only where it
won’t work is for medical emergencies, you could not use hypnosis to treat a heart
attack or a broken leg, although it could be used for pain control. How Safe Is Hypnosis? Hollywood, James Bond movies and the
Manchurian Candidate along with people like Derren Brown may have helped
popularize hypnosis as a method of controlling the mind... however they have
done a huge disservice to the use of clinical hypnotherapy. There are numerous
myths and urban legends concerning hypnosis, so let's deal with a few here and
now. Is hypnosis safe? Absolutely. Hypnosis is a completely
natural method of absorbing information. In fact, we all enter hypnotic states
every day in our waking lives. You CANNOT be hypnotized if you don't wish to
be. And you CANNOT be hypnotized to do anything against your will. Can I get stuck in hypnosis? Not at all! During a hypnosis
session, you're simply in a state of deep relaxation. If your hypnotherapist was
to leave during a session, you would either simply wake up or drift off to
sleep. No-one has ever been "stuck" in a state of terminal hypnosis! I'm too intelligent to be hypnotized,
surely? Another misconception. Studies have
shown that intelligent people are actually easier to hypnotize. And it doesn't
matter if you're sceptical of the process... the fact you're trying hypnosis
shows you have an open mind. The results will prove themselves! Hypnosis is a totally natural,
completely safe method of self-improvement... and can help you achieve goals
you never thought possible! The largest register of Hypnotherapy Practitioners in the UK and Ireland plus Free listing for Hypnotherapists www.hypnotherapistregister.com |
